A group of six cute kittens were left in a backyard by a kind-hearted stray cat who wanted to give them a chance at a better life.
Kali, an animal rescuer and foster parent based in NV, received a message about a group of kittens discovered outside her friend’s home. A community cat brought four of these kittens to the backyard, and the next day, she returned with two more in tow. Although the cat kept her distance from humans, she left her babies at the property in an attempt to get them aid. The litter, consisting of six kittens, were only about five weeks old and struggling to cope with the intense heat outside.
Kali informed Love Meow that she advised her friend to bring the kittens inside due to the scorching temperatures exceeding 110 degrees. The felines seemed grimy but were in good health. As Kali and her companion look after the litter, they are also making an effort to assist the local cats, which includes having the mother feline spayed and neutered.
After a fortnight, Kali welcomed six adorable kittens into her care to embark on their fostering adventure. The tiny felines instantly adapted to their surroundings and made themselves comfortable in their new abode. They frolicked around and played with each other, indulging in playful wrestling matches until they became exhausted from all the merrymaking.
As the six furry siblings snuggled together in their cozy bed, they created a chorus of soothing purrs that filled the room. Before drifting off to sleep, they lovingly cleaned each other’s faces. Unfortunately, Kali couldn’t find any nearby shelter or rescue group to help her with the litter, as they were all struggling to keep up with the high demand during kitten season.
Thanks to the assistance of the internet community, Kali was able to provide complete veterinary care and sterilization for her kittens once they grew up. Among the litter, there are four ginger tabby males, a Siamese-mixed female and a tortoiseshell female. Kali humorously described how it seemed like their mother’s printer ink had run out, as the orange cats became progressively lighter until one of them turned white.
The adorable bunch of kittens have been given unique names inspired by fast food items such as Cola, Milkshake, Vanilla, Chicken Nugget, Cheeseburger and Small Fry. Interestingly, out of all the kitties, Small Fry (who is cream-colored) stands out with his loud and crunchy meows. He demands attention by roaring at the top of his lungs, overpowering all other sounds in the room. This little one surely knows how to grab attention and be the center of it all!
Kali, sharing her experience with Love Meow, mentioned that Cola, the tortie, is one of the most talkative kittens she has fostered. She believes Cola’s chattiness is due to her desire to be heard over the other five kittens. Cola is known for her fearless and sassy personality and is always vocal about her opinions. Kali also mentioned that Cola never gives up and always tries to break out of any enclosure she’s put in.
Every morning, when Kali enters the room and frees the kittens from their playpen, chaos ensues. The six little troublemakers go wild, darting around in all directions with boundless energy. It’s safe to say that there’s never a dull moment with these frisky felines around.
Observing these adorable kittens playfully chasing each other around for hours is an absolute delight. It’s amazing to see them enjoy their youth and be carefree like little wild cats. And when they finally tire themselves out, watching them sleep together in one huge pile is a heartwarming sight to behold.
These tiny felines no longer have to face the harsh outdoor elements as they are now thriving and flourishing in the comfort of their foster home. They are growing rapidly and are receiving all the love and care they need to become healthy and happy cats.
